Ladybugs

Ladybugs are red with black polka dots and there wings are split in half.There are 5,000 diffrent ladybugs,there are 400 in north america.A female ladybug lays more then 1,000 eggs in her life.A ladybug beats its wings 85 times when it flies.Aphids are ladybugs favorite food,ladybugs eat side to side unlike humans do up and down.A gallon jar will hold 72,000 to 80,000 ladybugs.Ladybugs create a chemical that tastes and smells so terribly bad so that birds and other preditors DONT eat them.If you squash a ladybug it will bite you but not hard there only a little thing.Spots on the ladybugs fade when they grow older.In the hibernation season ladybugs feed on there stored fat.Ladybugs wont fly if the temperture is below 55 degrees farenheit.
